RE: Which Cub for a 91FS?
Serafim, 84" Cub, well I would have had to get another engine. Saito 100, Mag.120.G26 The choices we have to make! Came down to I had the 80 Magnium and it needed a home. Besides it was in the color I see the best RED and with all those yellow Hanger 9 Cubs I wanted to tell it apart from them. I flew the plane in about 15 MPH wind yesterday and seemed to handle it well. The plane fits in my Windstar Van in whole with the seats out. I had a Sig kit thats 86" 8 years with a OS 160 Twin and a one piece wing. I had gone to gas and bought a new Sig kit to make it a 2 piece wing and put a Q35 or G38 in it. Its still in the BOX. Getting time to get that project been hard. ARF's Are just to easy and I'm getting Lazy and to be honest don't think I could do any better with the covering jobs that are done on these ARF's. GP Eagle for example. Looked great till I pulled the fire wall and motor box out with the G62 on a take off. So after some learing cure with the ARF's pinning firewalls ect.. you cann't beat them for the price and time saved from building a stick built kit. The World Model kit I pinned Firewall and I went over the glue joints with thin CA Clue. One problem was the fit of the windows make sure they fit in the holes, trimming on mine had to be done around the opening the center window it was a little small and was not a big deal to cut the balsa wood to make it fit. If the window brace was centered more it would have been no problem and the opposit side fit fine.
