The down lines and approach is where the MSC props really shine. You probably will notice a slight loss of peak rpm, but with no loss of thrust. The thrust will likely increase with the lower peak RPM numbers. But when you drop back to idle you'll note a slower approach and down line speed, while still maintaining good airflow and control at the flight surfaces. The above relates most directly to the 22-8 MSC.

The larger MSC props, i.e. 26" and up, are a lot of wood and have been known to lug an engine down a bit, so experimenting a little with the larger sizes is in order if you have an engine that will handle them.
