A couple of years ago I had a cast for a broken wrist. It went all the way up to the arm pit.

I put my radio in one of those foam trays.

It wasn't the most comfortable, but I was able to fly my helicopter for the two months I was off work.

Maybe someone has a tray you can borrow to try out.

Worked for me!
