Here are a couple of ideas from someone who recently got int the 3d foam planes. If I was to do it again I would either get a plane from Fancy foam http://www.fancyfoam.com/ Just about everything you need for $329.00 brushless or $259.00 with a brushed motor. I havent flown one of their models but that is a good deal for a complete setup. Lots of models to choose from.

Or another place is http://www.m-a-e.com/ SLick or Slick extreme; for $200.00 complete this little plane is incredible. If you are planning on a smaller flying area or small indoor place you would not be dissapointed. I do have one of the Slicks and they will perform.[8D] I actually enjoy flying it in some wind better than my larger planes.
