Hi,
What a great idea, the aluminum siding! Will incorporate a wheel cover set similar into my F6. Please, if you will, where did you buy your pilot figure?
And did you mention having shipped your finished F6 to Texas? Never even flew it? I wonder if it wound up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area? (where I live)
Regards,
Jim
I get aluminum flashing. The size sheets are just right to work with and can be cut, hammered, and shaped very easily yet is the right gage to hold whatever shape you bend it into and adds no weight to your project. I was just going to send the parts that i had started but then decided to finish them for the buyer because he hadn't done anything like that. That is why the doors aren't weathered like the rest of the wing. The plane went to Midland Tx. I never got around to buying an engine for it and then decided to put the funds into other projects but thought it would be nice if someone flew it this season. He said he would send me pictures. Now, after working on the F6F, I'm in warbird mode and am exited about building the GSP 140 P51 I got in trade. I'm putting the gear in this weekend and then, back to work on more gear doors for that plane. Thanks for the compliments. I'm learning all the time.
