One other point .......

Synthetic oil has superior lubrication qualities, ( NO CONTEST ). That is why we can get away with using a smaller mix ratio, it is a better oil. It's consistancy is controlled in the labratory, and no dead dinosaurs are involved. Less oil needed in the mix results in cleaner burning, less carbon, and less fouling.

Will an engine break-in on synthetic ? Of course it will ! It may take longer, but what's the rush ? Why rush to shorten the life span of an engine ?
