Default RE: Begin-Air Comments

I got my Begin Air about three weeks ago....Let me start at the beginning..... I was not impressed by the fact the ParkFlyers.com did not offer a tracking number....With that aside, the plane flys OK in wind I don't know how hard the wind was the last time I had it out, but was blowing hard enough I would not have been flying a two channel. I got the plane on a Wednesday, and couldn't fly till the weekend so Saturday morning I was at the park at sun up. By the way this is my first four channel plane as well. I rolled off ground and flew it for about 2 or 3 minutes will no problems(hours of flight sim time) I decided to do a roll and about 1/3 of the way through the rear wing rod broke and plane and wing came down separate. Sense then I have just about replaced every component in it(don't know if it was the crash or just bad parts) Bets on the crash. Here are some mods.... for one thing get rid of the plastic wing rods and go with aluminum tubing the same diameter. Reinforce the control horns on the rudder and elevator with foam safe CA where they attach to the control surfaces. Use clear packing tape to cover the leading edge of the wing(this will stop it for denting so easy under rough landing. I had trouble with the TX and RX out of the box so I didn't use them. I have a Hitec Laser 4 and used a electron 6 RX it is smaller and lighter than the original. Now that I have rebuilt it ........ It flys like a dream.. easy to control...fun to fly and you don't have to have a huge area to fly it in..
