Default RE: Maiden on the 300 Special

Yep Pat i got the cg right at that point now i actually used the method that Tom explained on marking the cg with a chalk string and rechecked the cg, works good when you have to pick the plane up by yourself and not being able to pick it up by the wingtips . Believe it or not i actually had to add 2 ozs of weight in the rear to get it to the 3 and 3/8 mark. When mounting the Brison i used 1/4 inch aircraft ply in making my standoff and used a lot of ply so this in itself added quite of bit of weight to the front end. Tne motor only has about 2 hours of run time on it so it will get stronger as time goes on. I did swithch to the Mobil xt racing oil and mixed it at 32/1 . I have always used AMsoil at 80 to 1 and i really dont think th oil mix makes a lot of difference on performance but so far i am impressed with the Mobil sythetic mix. Hey will talk to ya later thanks for the interest and reply . I also got your message on the email addresses . Bruce
