I use Coverrite Fabric on my P-40E (white). Used Top Flite abbrasive sponge to scratch the white paint real good. Painted it with Cheveron cammouflage. Added Top Flite flat clear coat. It did not seem to gain much weight. I particularly picked Coverrite Fabric was because it won't bubble like film which could cause the paint to chip easily after a few years. New paint will flex with the coverring real well when it is new. A few years down the line they will get brittle and chip if they surface flex often.
