RE: Structural failure/ Extreme elevator flutter on Somenzini 72" Yak?
I have had my 72" Yak for sometime now and just opened it yesterday to start putting it together. Let me say that this is the first ARF I have ever gotten that I did not have to spend time removing wrinkles from the covering. Not one wrinkle! The quality of this kit is better than any ARF I have seen. I can see that a lot of thought went into this plane and I'm very happy with it. I can't wait to get it in the air. I have put together ARF's from Hanger 9, Aeroworks, and Great Planes. All of them have had a problem of some sort. Things such as something as simple as an error in the instruction manual to a wing tube being too large to insert into the wing. Will my Yak be any differant? Only time will tell but I must say I have a good feeling about this plane.
The only other comment I have is to the guy doing a blender at show center. I can sum that up in one word "STUPID". After almost being hit last year by a plane by someone who's ego was larger than thier flying ablility or good judgement I have no time for unsafe pilots. I hope this guy has learned something from this but my guess is it was all the plane's fault.
