I had the same problem(s) and the parts they sent out were cut wrong also. That was not the least of it. I built the Deluxe kit and there were so many problems with manual (which I had to have them send because it was not in the box) and numerous problems with the length and cut of parts that I was winging it most of the way through the building. I sent them a two page letter with issues and corrections for the manual and have not heard a word back from them. I won't build another CG kit and will not recommend that anyone else build one either.
