I have been thinking of a way to support the keel weight when the sailboat is on its stand. I have some stress cracks on my bulb.
My stand is a fishing seat from Wal-Mart ($6.97).
I added a support on the bottom; see pictures.
I made the support out of cotton and put a strip of 2” cloth tape down the center, and stitched the edges and down the center.
I put it on with glue and tacks. I think it helps a lot.
