Default RE: extra 260 with Saito 180

"they are showing the bare plane out of the box at a touch over 7 pounds..."
I have only heard of around 8 pounds. Maybe without the engine mount they include you would get under 8.
"I mean I love the way it looks and it may make an alternate to the 50cc EF Yak since you cant get one of those."
There are other alternatives to the EF Yak, but those people that were in the market for an EF Yak would not consider this an alternative...its not even in the same performance class.
People that want a heavier plane and higher wingloading for less wind buffeting for imac or as an alternative to the GP Patty Crapstaff and don't want to pay top dollar to get into a gasser are the people in the market for this plane...them, or glow flyers looking for a new home for their lighter more powerful engines. For someone with nitro on the brain and a DZ160 sitting around are definitely drooling over this plane. People with a DA 50 sitting around and waiting for the EF Yak to come in most definitely are not.
