I think Altec sold the Enya. They were really good engines,, but apparently could not keep up with the market changes from the 80's. I have the .29, gave away the .45 and have seen the .60 's and they were all good engines. However service / parts are another question. I sent a .45 in for new sleeve etc a few years back. What I got back was a box of parts with another engine. I called them and they said they shipped the wrong box. Finally I got the repaired engine back and a .45 would only turn a 10x6 prop 9500 rpm. Don't know if they put in the wrong sleeve or what,, but gave up on the Enya and haven't bought one since. Typically they are over priced against competition.. perhaps why you don't see them often. You might watch ebay for one to come up for parts. Otherwise if It were mine,, it would become a conversation piece while I was flying something else.
