Default RE: Asking the Conversion Specialists - The ones who really know!!

May I suggest a C&H electronic ignition or an electronic ignition from Ralph Cunningham. Both units are good quality systems.

You don't necessarily need the variable timing--synchrospark--type ignition on an engine under 45-50cc displacement. It's about $40 more to add it to the system. But--ooohhhh is it nice!!!

The electronic ignition systems are just about flawless in every aspect of operation. Easy starting- smoth running--and they will run on a little 1200mah battery sratpped to the engine box.

I have a C&H synchrospark on my G-62. Runs perfect. I initially had some nasty RF problems---but it was my own fault for not keeping RX, servo leads, and other RX related things seperated far enough away from the ignition unit. I moved all my RX related electronics 15" away from the ignition system and all problems dissapeared.

I've used 2 of Ralphs ignition systems on 2 different engines. One unit with fixed timing on a 38cc Craftsman engine. Ran perfect- and turned a 20-8 prop around 7300RPM. And another Synchrospark unit on a 54cc Poulan. Ran perfect and turned a 22-10 around 6800RPM.
