Default RE: VPP or PPS

if you check the blurb, it says something like 'wound to give 30% more power'? although the specs are the same as the AXI motor that it is, they just say you can use 2 OR 3 cells, where as AXI say 2. ( Graupner also do the same motor in black, woohoo. ) i believe the 30% more power bit, is refering to 30% more than the stock brushed setup. i got the conversion kit today, the new motor shaft is actually plastic tube, like white ABS, not wot i expected. also, i snapped both of the shaft retaining screws ( the ones the props O ring goes round in fixed pitch form ) trying to unscrew them !!! and yes, i used a soldering iron ( 70 watt ) to heat them up, it all got too hot to hold and the loctite? still would rather i snapped the screws than let go. Doh. anyways, i drilled them out and ran a 3mm tap through the holes and have got capheads ready for the rebuild. i hoped to purchase some of the steel tube that is linked to in the build your own vpp thread, they only ship international using FEDEX, $75 2 day, or $65 normal, for a $6 item. i don't think so, but in fairness, they were most helpful on the phone and i accept policy is policy. IF, anybody in europe knows of a source for a similar product? please drop me a pm or post a link for all to use. i may just order the 220834 with hollow shaft from hobbylobby when it comes available. cest la vie.
