Fancy Foam sells everything you need (almost) packages, just add your transmitter and a lipo charger and go 3D.
There are many other vendors but I know Fancyfoam pkgs. are well thought out and work great.

The foamy planes are easy to break and very easy to fix (foam safe CA and two minutes later your good to go).
Balsa, as you know, is easy to break, much more work to fix.
