On request #2...

It is 80' from the pilot stations to the start of the short grass. So, if I'm hovering in the short grass I'll be some 90 to 100' away. I'm hoping that's far enough away when others are present? That's my main goal for Thursday night.

Most of us have to work all week and it gets dark too early to fly after work. That leaves us with the weekend. On a normal weekend there is almost no time when other pilots are not flying. If we don't get the short grass on the opposite side of the runway... then we'll have to hover more than 120' away from ourselves. That's what I'm trying to avoid. Didn't I tell you I was very near sighted? :-)
