I don't think the Tensor is a good choice for an outdoor plane. I only fly mine outdoors when it's pretty much dead calm because it just gets blown around too much. The only damage mine has received was getting in and out of the basement- so I built a foam box to put it in. I keep hearing how fragile the plane is but the only busted ones I've seen were flown into a wall, the floor, or the pavement. If you can fly well enough to avoid those three you won't have any problems. I've had my Tensor since the week before Christmas- still flying great.
