Sorry if this has been asked before. I ran a couple of searches but couldn't find anything concrete.
Anyways, has anyone modified the tensor to use 2 servos for the ailerons.
Also, is the hardware sufficient for this or is it only for 1 servo.
Pictures would be great.
Thanks.

the hardware that comes with the kit is just for one aileron servo. Just one servo on the aileron works fine on the tensor. I had 2 stock tensor, they work well, just a fragile airplane. The stock location is good to, just be carefull cutting out for it. They will still fly good though when they get heavy like mine is. I have lots of balsa and expoxy on mine. Im combating it this weekend in foamy combat at the funfly so we wil see if it makes it through it, but i have lots of other foamy kits.
I made an EPP 6mm tensor already. I used two servos for the ailerons on that plane. One for the top and one for the bottom wing, and just used a y harness. That worked good too.

On my Tensor I put two aileron servos.
Yes, the stock hardware will work on 2 servos.
Sorry I dont have any pics. I just got rid of my tensor---Too fragile[&o] But I will try to explain.
If you look at the instructions you need to offset the servo-because of the fuse.
With the servo already offset all you need to do is put another servo on the other side of the fuse---Right next to it.
Set up your linkages just like you would with one servo-Just cut off the side of the servo arm you are not using.
This is stronger, and you do get better throws-but after a while it seemed like I was sacrificing performance with the extra weight-
Just a thought
I really dont think that you need the extra servo.

The best thing you can do for the Tensor is keep it light, it is meant/designed to be flown s-l-o-w....one servo is perfect...also, additional weight adds mass, ergo more damage when you doink it...

OK guys...you convninced me. I'll just use 1 servo.
Talk about the Tensor being fragile, I had 2 shocky extras before this and they sucked. I don't care about indoor flying but want a nice durable 3D plane for my AXI 2208/34 that is why I want to try the Tensor.

Don't give up on the two aileron servos. I have dual aileron servos in mine and I really like the way it flies. My buddy has one with a single aileron servo and he let me try it the other night- I like my set-up better. I have them switched for flaperons and I think it makes hovering easier. No good for knife edge- be sure to turn off the switch for that.

OK, tHE TENSOR IS NOT, NOR EVER WILL BE A "NICE DURABLE 3d PLANE"..(SOrry stupid caps lock)

I agree with mike-- The tensor has to be one of the most fragile planes I have ever flown.
After a while I was starting to get worried that it was going to break in half if I went around a corner too fast.
This plane flies so unrealistically that hovering is just as easy as level flight. You dont really need flaperons-- Flaperons also make harriers unstable. Just extra switches that take your attention off of flying.(I dont like to flip switches all the time, just keep it in high rates all the time[>:]) Build light, this plane doesnt fly well unless you keep that wing loading really low.

I was planning to put two on mine but after reading this dicussion I think I'll try it with one first. BTW, does anyone know where to get an EPV201 controllable pitch prop for the new hollow shaft 2208/34 AXI motor?

I don't think the Tensor is a good choice for an outdoor plane. I only fly mine outdoors when it's pretty much dead calm because it just gets blown around too much. The only damage mine has received was getting in and out of the basement- so I built a foam box to put it in. I keep hearing how fragile the plane is but the only busted ones I've seen were flown into a wall, the floor, or the pavement. If you can fly well enough to avoid those three you won't have any problems. I've had my Tensor since the week before Christmas- still flying great.

Pils-- The only damage my plane ever saw was hangar rash. I moved to bigger better plane because mine got crushed by a bag when we accidentally went around a corner too fast.
zwibelturm-- you can get the hollow shaft AXI from- http://www.hobby-lobby.com/
Just go to the search and type in what you are looking for.

OK.
I have been asking this question for a long time without any concrete answer...so please help me
Which OUTDOOR plane is the best for my AXI 2208/34
I don't care at all about indoor flying. I care more about a durable plane that can land in grass without coming apart everytime.
Thanks.

E-Flight Yak-54f-- Qiqui Somenzini(I think thats how you spell it) flew this plane in the E-TOC.
It is an amazing plane that flies like no other. I will easily say that this Yak is THE BEST I have ever flown.
I live out in the windiest place on the planet and this is the plane I fly. Even though I wish there was a place to fly indoors here.
I have flown my Yak in winds close to 20 mph and it is still a blast.
The tensor flys good but if you fly in wind faster than about half a mile an hour it starts to do funky stuff.
and it is REALLY delicate.
If you want a plane for your 2208/34 go get a E-Flight Yak- 54f without hesitation.
