RE: Hot hot hot!!!!!!!!!
It was 32C this past Saturday & VERY humid. I noticed a substantial reduction in power with my oldest TT .46 Pro, relative to the 20C-23C temps that I typically fly in.
The high heat, combined with a "fuzzed" prop tip, really took the starch out of my old Florio 40. Normally it will climb straight up at 3/4 throttle on 5% or, 10% nitro fuel. This time it could barely get out of its own way. When I changed the prop (unfortunately the spare was a MAS) & boosted the nitro content to 15%, some of the zip came back & I could just barely get it to go completely vertical at full throttle.
As for myself -- I had enough after two flights.
