Just got this computer put together and APDex installed. The problem is too much CPU heat and too many FPS.
Using the trainer40 with desert scenery the flight info is showing between 424-550 fps! Looks great but I'm not happy with CPU temps of 60C-140F.
The system is ASUS P4P800E mobo, Intel P4 3.2GHz HTT, ATI Radeon 5800 Pro 128 MHz in the AGP slot, 4 512 stick of DDM RAM in a server sized Atop Z-Alien case (2 80 mm intake 1 120 mm exhaust fans) 500 W PSU. Got additional fans on order to plug in to mobo controllers (Won't see them here till late July) Existing constant spd fans, other than stock Intel heatsink/fan, do not lend themselves to attachment other than to PSU plugs.

Quick review of manual and cann"t find anything less demanding to fly. I'm hesitant to run the program too much with those temps. Suggestions??

The mobo board has Open GL but not sure how to verify its operation (transfering load to the VGA processor.)
