Default RE: Both 450 FPS and 60 C CPU temp too much!

some of your #'s dont make a lot of sence to me like a 5800 is a Nvidia card a ATI card would be a 9800 I myself run a P4c-800E delux and a ati 9800 I hade the same issues with heat playing Far cry one thing that helped was a aftermarket cooler for the both the cpu and the video card the zallman cooler or the thermaltake cooler work well check with overclockers.com for advice and a good place to purchase them is newegg.com I myself have ussed these products
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118115
one of these would work on a nvidia 5800:

I went to a more exotic cooling system a hydrocool 200 ex:
http://www.3dvelocity.com/reviews/hy...ocool200ex.htm
with this beast my cpu wont get over 90 F or 31 C
you should use a good thermal compound like artic silver
the northwood prossesor wont start Throttling till about 75 c and full Throttling at 80 c
so running at 60 c i consider on the outer edges of the norm 50 c under load is more the norm
good luck
