RE: GP .46 Giles---Misc Stuff
I used the stock PVC cowl with an fiberglass cloth reinforce. The fiberglass kept the cowl is a reasonable good shape considering the impact. We can just imagine the force of impact by observing how the hard tube of the pitts muffler was bent. The langind gear section ripped off completely. I would say the weakest point was the leading edge of the wing saddle. That point desintegrated completely.
I will start recovering all controls and engine this weekend.
