I just finished my .25-size Me-109 and have been breaking in the engine since I've finished. I've taken it out a few times to taxi around and definately am havinig the nose-over tendancy on anything but smooth ground. I think I'm gonna go buy some wire and bend it to the shape of the stock gear, bend it forward, and simply leave it longer. Coupled with some larger wheels, all should be good.

I'm a little too excited about getting it in the air. I've taken special notice to how fast these planes are supposed to be with above engines and now I am going to be extra careful with how hard I push it. The OS 40LA seems to pull really strong. I could probably just let the plane go from my hand it pulls so strong (not really, but it pulls HARD).
