Default H9 Pizazz--over-power crazy?

Hi all,
I just bought a H9 Pizazz this last weekend, second hand.
Prior to that I was reading several threads that said .46-50 engines were just not enough to 3D/hover well.

I bolted my GMS .47 to it APC 11.5x4...screwed in standard HS-425BB servos, and a standard 700mah pack. I haven't weighed it yet, but it's really not bad at all.

First flight, NO TRIM adjustments needed, slapped it into a hover just to see how well it really DID hover, spent 3/4 the tank hanging out on the prop between 1/2 and 3/4 throttle.

Now...I know I'm probably opening up a can a worms...but this thing IMHO is perfect with the GMS .47. PLENTY of power to tractor right out of any problems, amazing torque rolls, just an all out FUN plane to crank around RIGHT in front of you.

One recommendation though...toss the aluminum engine mounts, and put in some hardwood rails.

I do understand that many of us live at higher altitude, so I'm with ya'll on that for the extra power (used to live in Colorado).

So, keep it light, fly it right (it's not a speed demon), and have a ball!!

Is anyone else out there powering their Pizazz with a .46-47?

Just to contradict myself a bit...I am thinking about doing a H9 UltraStick 60 with an RCS 1.40. I just have to figure out if I can get the prop clearence for a 16 incher on that thing. hehehe...has anyone over powered their US60 with a 1.20 or something?

Life is full of adventures! High Flights all!!
