Try fancyfoam.com, you can buy one with all of the equipment you need, excluding a transmitter, glue and paint for $329. I think they even throw in a spare airframe. I've had their Extra since Nov 2004 and I'm just about ready to retire it. I've flown it at least 100 times and probably have crashed it more than 50 times. With foam safe CA and accelerant, you can make most repairs in about 2 minutes. I learned to hover on my Extra. If I had to do it over again, I'd get their Edge. It's supposed to be easier to learn to hover with it. They fly great. It would be hard to go wrong.
