Yep, after months of parkflying with my AB Challenger, a hundred (or more) taxis up and down the strip, and more racetracks and figure eights than I can count in a friend's trainer, I did my firs nitro engined takeoffs and landings today. I made about 10 takeoffs and landings and about 10 touch and gos with only one really bouncy landing, one that ended up in the grass and one that ended up too close to the cars in the field (!!!). It was fairly windy too so I am pretty proud and super stoked! The plane is a .40 sized trainer which we think is an old Cadet that has been recovered and repaired a thousand times.

So today as well, I paid a club member for his barely used Hobbistar .60 (very nicely done taildragger mod with and OS .91 and nice servos installed) and have the guys looking for a radio/receiver! Yes, I have the bug, bad!

Man, that was as much fun as I can remember having! It is amazing how exciting/scary/fun it can be when the plane is all yours and the IP has walked to his car!
