Default RE: my plane and field

I had to start my field by dragging an 8 foot I - beam behind my bronco. I borrowed a tractor and brush hog from a neighbor and chopped the knock down up. It ended up taking 2 years of rolling with an 800 lb. roller to get it smooth enough to take off and land on. I can appreciate the work that goes into putting even a simple field up. The tree in the above picture with the 2 guys standing with backs to the camera and the Tiger on ground is a Box Alder. It was just a twig that I missed when I was dragging the field. I am kind of glad now that I left it there to keep growing, yesterday it was 94 degrees and humid, but fairly nice in the shade of that little tree. If you have Realflight, you can download the field from their website, the fence at the one end of the runway and the hedgerow at the other end of the runway makes for some interesting landings, especially if you vary the wind. Hence the name "Bingo Field". You have all sorts of space to fly over, but to land, the trees nearby and the obstructions at the ends of the runway can cause some pucker factor when it gets windy.[8D]
