Got it running last night. I removed the brass plug/rubber valve on the regulator side that exposes the needle passages and increased the inlet needle opening duration by bending up the arm slightly. I also gutted the stock muffler and she runs like a top all the way up to 7800 with an APC-18-10. Idles at 2100 steady and transitions perfect. Yeah, it will need a rebuild every season or find the more durable diaphrams and she gulps about an ounce per minute at full throttle. Going to try a 20-8 next with some low oil methanol. Thanks[8D]
