Ditto what MinnFlyer said. The manuals in GreatPlanes are some of the best. As you progress too, and get more kits under your belt, you'll find each manufacturer has different techniques to teach.
So after building a few GreatPlanes kits, try a Sig, or Goldberg, or even a Midwest, and there will be new things to learn with each one. GreatPlanes or Sig kits are very good to start though.

And.........you can always come here and talk about them too.
