Default RE: Experimental Aircraft Models

The landing gear is not music wire and bends easily. unfortunatly I don't have the capability of bending 3/16 music wire so I'm not able to make new ones. It would be nice if Cleve would replace the landing gear with music wire as per the manual. I found an old Telemaster nose gear that fits for now. The control horn on the flying stab had slack in it to the shaft and the plane porpoised on the test flight so had to land early. The small screw had increased the hole in the plastic control horn so that there was almost 1/2 inch movement without the servo moving. I had to remove the tailpiece and redrill the controlhorn and shaft to take a 3/64 screw which threaded itself. The motor setup seems to be enough to fly the plane, but it wont be aerobatic. The full scale isn't either. My computer program Ecalc says I should get around 18 mins. cruise time. Next test flight will be sometime next week. Hope to have better results and will keep you posted.
