The verticle is good but not unlimited with a 3S 3200 Kokam lipo pack. From level flight I could pull straight up for abount 50 feet until a stall. The 4S really made a difference. A watt meter really helps. Get a good battery. A bunch of 1500 mah packs linked didn't cut it.

It has been my expierence that AXI motors pull more AMPS than my Jeti and they get hotter. I have used both a 282010 and a 282610 motor with 3S and 4S packs. The 282610 has a lot more power than the 282010. It would fly my Magic verticle on 4S with a 14x7 prop and near verticle with a 15x8 prop on 3S. My Jeti has lasted 3+ years and my AXI has been replaced already.
