Mike: I'm working on the landing gear mount for the Tempest. I'm thinking of using your gear mounting method shown on your drawings.

Do the mount bolts go through the gear and the ply plates? Or do they just go through the ply plates and "pinch" the gear in place? If so, what prevents the gear from sliding out?

Are the spacers between the plates ply or balsa?
