I don't own the SWM Blueback but I've aquired some information about it when I first started in the hobby. For a fact, the model has a gas operated ballast tank system thus making it a static diver. It is a compact model of a good beginner size and easy to transport around when you are planning to go around on trips, according to www.rc-submarines.com (the author of the site also owns this boat) , the Blueback also has a sharp turning raius making it a perfect pool runner for those summer runs!
