RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D
The one thing I have noticed about (almost) all ARFs, is that they sacriface strength for weight...Big Time!! Not only do they use plys that are half the thickness as I (or kits) would use...But they put WAY too big, and WAY too many lightening holes. Unless you grease them in, they are going to break by design. Heavy engines are also tough on the frames. Also the cheap glue that they use doesn't seem to penetrate the wood at all. I say, that until they improve in these areas, we as a whole, boycott the damn things. If we all quit buying their junk (but beautiful) planes...MAYBE they will start building them stronger. In the real world, we can't grease all of our landings. The damn things are built to fly...AND THAT'S IT !!
Twist2...Don't be discouraged with the Twist....Just buy a bundle of tri-stock with your new plane (ARF) and reinforce..reinforce..reinforce!!!
Cheers Guys !!
