Default RE: New Genesis problems

ORIGINAL: nevetSRW

I have a First Run Genesis.. I am NOT new to RC... and one thing I have learned..
check all the screws, and make sure they are tight. I even check after a good day of running..
I've had My motor mount screws come loose. and then the gears don't mesh right,
next thing it's time to go to the hobby shop.

I've had absolutly No Problems with the truck.
from what I've heard... I'm the lucky one... I did install a roto start..
but it's only because I have it on my other RC cars... so, it was only the gears and housing I needed..

If you need parts.. Try Ebay.. you can find parts from the Engine for $150. to the Trans for about $55..
side rails, suspension arms, Shocks, shock towers.. you name it's on there...

if you think the steering sux... try adjusting the servo-saver.. I also upgraded my Steering servo to a 20kg..
I moved the 10kg steering servo and made it my throttle/Brake Servo.. For better braking.

for break-in you need to loosen the glow-plug to start it.. once it's started... tighten it up..
All-in-all.. I have a blast with "THE BEAST"
What servo are you using for the steering?? 20kg seems rather high for a standard size servo, my 1/4 scale Hitec 5745 only pulls 17kg i think.
