I may very well be wrong, but I don't think the receiver really cares what servo is plugged into which channel. The transmitter sends a bunch of pulses...move channel 1 servo here, move channel 2 here etc. I'm thinking the transmitter is encoding the signal and decides which channel goes where in the stream of pulses it sends to the receiver. All the receiver does it move channel one, regardless of what channel one corresponds to, to the position dictated by the transmitter.
My bet is plug your servos into the corresponding channels as indicated in the instructions with your transmitter.
As I said, I may be wrong... but give it a go. For what it's worth, I have one hitec receiver. I just plugged everything in according to the diagram that came with my transmitter and everything worked fine... the correct servo wiggled when the corresponding stick was moved.
