Default RE: DIY GRP-fuel cell - baffles?

Hi folks!

Thx for your welcome inputs!
After venting the topic with my buddies today evening at our flying field, we developed a solution that should work very well. Inspired by some experiences three of my friends made by building custom fuel cells in 1996 for 2 twin powered SU-27s and a L-39 we came up to a solution pictured below.
The fuel cell is laminated as usual. The blue ring and plate are 3mm carbon fiber plate material. The ring to the right is glued and laminated onto the body. The plate on the left will be screwed onto this ring by 6 screws as pictured below. The opening in the fuelcell is large enough to service the tank and accommodate each type of clunk one will use. The green element is a rubber seal to prevent leakage. We think this solution will work very well, as inother form did on previous projects of my buddies.

But the big question, as statad already in the topic of this thread is the need of baffles. As all the previous tanks were for multi-tank configurations we don´t know if baffles are necessary and if so, how they should look like. Cos I´ve to start building the tank over this weekend some information and help on this topic would be greatly apreciated!

best whishes
Thomas
