On paper yes.
It takes a very good Gas engine to exceed 2 hp per Cubic-inch displacement, especially when driving a load like a propellor in ranges suitable for our use. On the test stand, driving the adjustable dyno, it may well be possible, but only using a special purpose-built pipe, and carefully adjusted load.
These dyno figures are of no use to us modellers who whant to fly planes, not test engines to the hilt.
What we need are data concerning real plane set-ups and calling the props to match. Only that way a modeller can choose an engine for his new project, and be happy with the results. It still needs skill to make that choice though.
