The Makay 22 ( U.K.) is the RCS 140 (U.S.) and also AW140 ( Germany ). It is now 24cc and is somewhat heavier than 28 ozs. with ign.and muffler.
Needs a tuned pipe for decent performance, also, can be a little fragile.

On paper yes.

It takes a very good Gas engine to exceed 2 hp per Cubic-inch displacement, especially when driving a load like a propellor in ranges suitable for our use. On the test stand, driving the adjustable dyno, it may well be possible, but only using a special purpose-built pipe, and carefully adjusted load.
These dyno figures are of no use to us modellers who whant to fly planes, not test engines to the hilt.
What we need are data concerning real plane set-ups and calling the props to match. Only that way a modeller can choose an engine for his new project, and be happy with the results. It still needs skill to make that choice though.

I love these "dyno tested HP" conclusions .
So far -I find you need to rev the bejeezus out of these little gassers to get any real power (just like the motorcycle engines which get -2-3 hp per cu in.)
The only alternative is to redo em for a dose of alky and nitro
My 1.4 cu in ST (2300) on spark ignition and alky really put out the power- 9000rpm on 18x8 APC props -and smooth as mother's milk. the secret tho -was no secret - just lots of fuel.
