To elaborate just a bit, I was talking yesterday to a friend that has a flying mower. He was commenting that his fuel tank is too small, causing him the occasional dead stick. He says the mower has the glide ratio of a brick! The only way to bring it in is to immediately put it into about a 45 degree dive to maintain airspeed and then pull out at the last second to land.

Not a particularly beginner-friendly "plane."
