Default Scale model of Two Engine Bi-Wing- PICS

Attached is some Pics of a "Vickers Vimy" Bi-Wing. The plane has is 163.5" wing span, is 106.4" in length, and weighs 42 lbs. with out engines or controls. I have converted two Poulan 42cc chain saw engines for use on this plane. The left wing engine has been tested and is ready to install. The right wing engine has been converted to run the opposite direction and will be tested when the pusher prop arrives. To convert this engine to run backwards, I mounted the coil in reverse of the other engine and reset the timing. The coil posts only extend out far enough to cover 1/2 of the magnets on the flywheel. Will the engine still run or must these posts be positioned such that the entire post is over the flywheel magnets? (The last PIC is w/o the wings mounted)
