OK, that is the real problem statement which is a far cry from the title of the thread that you're going to restore. The FAA is clearly *not* posturing itself to "shoot down RC jets ..." [] With your magical powers as a moderator, might I suggest a title change to the thread if nothing else?

So ... Back to what Russ mentioned earlier: Is the issue the use of airports by radio controlled, kersosene-burning turbine model jet aircraft or the use of airports by any radio-controlled model aircraft? Or do we wait for the original thread to be restored to ask this question.
