I'm almost hesitant to even bring this up but I think in the long run it will benefit those on this board. Throughout my years of racing around the factory guys I've learned one important lesson; and that is that with the exception of infared temp gauges in the hundreds of dollar range, very few temperature gauges are accurate. I personally don't even temp my engines anymore. (unless someone happens to have one of the grossly expensive laser gauges right there and that only occurs at the track) If you have smoke coming out of your exhaust, and then engine isn't dying every 5 minutes from being excessively lean but is making power than you're right where you want to be.
