I'm new to the hobby, so I cannot address reliability. For me the Nitro adds another dimension. Sound! My Nitro buggy sounds like I'm attending the time trials at the Indy 500.

The maintenance is not complex nor difficult, but without doubt requires dilegence.

Reliability as far as engine, carb, and transmission goes,,,, I don't know yet.
