Bill Bennett, who started the Tournament of Champions, was associated with Circus Circus Casino, and had a hobby distributorship called Circus Hobbies that imported MK, Webra, and JR. Very high quality operation. The casino sponsored the early TOC events. Hanno Prettner of Austria won most of the early ones. Hanno was one of the early 3D style flyers-the TOC had a free style event also. Bill has sadly passed away. He was a terrific promoter. Circus must have closed up shop in the early nineties.
