Hello all,
First time posting here.
I'm working on making a few mods to a Homie 25.
First, Is there a ready made water jacket for these things? I've turned the fins down. And short of makiong myself one, thought I better ask before going much further.
Second, If I decrease the cubic inch area in the crank box, How much is to much?
I'm not much on the mechanics of these things, I do understand the basic priciples. I can do my own casting in aluminum. and have the ability to machine and mill.
On that note. The motor is going to power a seven foot hand made mahogony runabout. Currently it is severily underpowered by a Toro 25cc. Don't misunderstand here, the boat looks great out on the water and does clip along nicely, but to see this thing. It's got to go faster. Neither my brother (the builder of this fine beauty) or myself have the funds to aquire a nicer motor. But do believe we can modify a motor to suite the boats needs.
