I wasn't sure if the serial data cable was compatable with the Fadec Eco ECU as used on Wren and lots of other engines. I had a flameout and Wren suggested I diagnose with the data cable. I bought it and it is brilliant. For £17 I can now download all the data for the last 51 minutes from the ECU. The software is the simplest in the world and worked first time.

A little bit of excel work is needed, but I now have graphs showing RPM, Temp, Throttle position and Pump demand. This is a great tool for finding out where faults lie. For instance, I can tell that during my flameout, I had full throttle demanded, the pump was running but the RPM and temp simultaneously died. I can also tell that at that time both the RPM and temp were well within limits and normal. That seriously reduces the number of places I have to look to find the problem.

I recommend this cable to anyone who used the FADEC ECU. I think it is invaluable.
