RE: Computers are over priced garbage !!!
If you want to eliminate memory as your likely problem, do a search for "memtest x86+" and run that overnight. If no errors are reported then your memory is likely to be OK, but if there is a problem it may be any part of the memory subsystem which includes CPU, Motherboard or the memory itself. Be aware however that while this is a repeating test that is quite synthetic, they use an algorithm that is designed to help find memory defects.
I still use Fly!II, btw. I never really grew to MSFS, and Fly!II has an awesome AS365N2 Dauphin available for it, as well as a Seneca V, Warrior and a few others all of fantastic quality. While MSFS has way more addons, these freeware additions to Fly!II make a lot of the payware MSFS stuff look embarrasing. Then again, some of them are just embarassing full stop. I will grant that Fly!II is way behind in scenery these days. Unfortunately Richard passed away before the sim was finished properly, meaning there are also some fairly minor issues with avionics functionality some of which the community has addressed. But I find it to be a very stable program provided the aircraft loaded do not contain any problems that cause the game to crash.
